The Huawei G8, successor to the G7, has been unveiled. It packs a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. Ticking inside it is a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable internal storage. Imaging-wise, there is a 13-MP rear camera with PureCel sensor, dual-tone, dual-LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing snapper.

The G8 also comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back for added security. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and LTE are all on-board. It packs a modest 3,000 mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Emotion UI on top. It will come in white, black, and gold color variants. Pricing starts at $370 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage model and goes up to $434 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version. There's no word if it will be available outside of China and India.
