Entry-Level Alcatel OneTouch Pop Up & Pop Star

At IFA 2015, Alcatel unveiled two new entry-level smartphones with fancy names: the OneTouch Pop Star and the OneTouch Pop Up. Both Android Lollipop-powered devices will feature dual-SIM connectivity and numerous removable and interchangeable covers. The Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star comes with a 5-inch display of 720p HD resolution and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 (MT6735p for the 4G variant) chipset with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. It has an 8-MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5-MP selfie camera. A 2,000 mAh battery will keep its lights on. It will have 3G-only and 4G-capable variants.

Meanwhile, the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Up is more capable device of the two, packing a 5-inch display of 720p HD resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. Its main camera has a 13-MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture while the front-facing shooter maxes out at 5-MP. This phone will come in Black, Riva Blue, Amber Orange, White, and Strawberry Red.
