LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition w/ Cellular Connectivity

LG has unveiled the second generation of its Urbane Watch. It is the first Android Wear-powered smartwatch to come with cellular connectivity, meaning the Urbane Watch 2nd Edition can make calls and send text messages on its own. But it can still be tethered to a smartphone through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Specs-wise, the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition comes with a circular 1.38-inch P-OLED display with a 480 x 480 pixel resolution. That translates to a pixel density of 348 ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It has a 570 mAh battery with a Power Saving Mode feature. Aside from the usual array of sensors, the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will come with GPS and a heart rate monitor as well. It is also water and dust resistant.

It will become available in the US and South Korea first but will soon be launched in markets such as Europe, CIS, Asia, and the Middle East. There's no information yet on pricing.
