The Archos Diamond 2 Plus & Diamond 2 Note

Archos has unveiled two more devices before MWC 2016 officially starts. These are the Diamond 2 Plus and the Diamond 2 Note. Both are regarded as Archos' most premium offerings. The Archos Diamond 2 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. Ticking inside it is an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 SoC with a whopping 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a 20-MP primary camera with dual-tone, dual-LED flash and an 8-MP selfie shooter. It supports Cat 6 LTE, utilizes a USB Type-C port, and has a fingerprint scanner at the back. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 3,000 mAh battery will keep its lights on. It will become available in May 2016 for $229.

Up next is a much larger phablet from Archos, the Diamond 2 Note. It has a 6-inch borderless display of Quad HD resolution. Humming inside it is an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has a 16-MP primary camera with dual-tone, dual-LED flash and an 8-MP front-facing shooter. Connectivity-wise, it supports Cat 4 LTE. It also has a larger 3,610 mAh battery. Like the Diamond 2 Plus, it also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will retail for $279 in May 2016.
