Xiaomi Redmi 3S Counters Meizu's M3S

Not to be outdone by Meizu, Xiaomi has also upgraded its budget Redmi 3 smartphone. Meet the Xiaomi Redmi 3S, which costs exactly the same as the recently launched Meizu M3S - $106 for the base model and $136 for the higher end model. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S packs a 5-inch display of 720p HD resolution. Its processor has been upgraded to an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable internal storage. It runs the latest version of MIUI, which is based on Android.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S has the same camera setup as its predecessor - a 13-MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto-focus, and an LED flash. There's a 5-MP f/2.2 selfie camera in front. Connectivity-wise, the Redmi 3S features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, and LTE. A large 4,100 mAh battery will keep its lights on. Also, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is now part of the package. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S will be available in China starting June 16, 2016. Any takers? Which do you like better: Xiaomi Redmi 3S or the Meizu M3S?
