OnePlus 3 Unveiled w/ Dash Charging

The OnePlus 3 has finally been unveiled and its a true flagship device at a price easier to swallow. For starters, the OnePlus 3 was the first major smartphone to be unveiled via virtual reality. Measuring 152.7 mm x 74.7 mm x 7.35 mm and weighing 158 grams, this flagship smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display of 1080p Full HD resolution. Its display has special gamma adjustments, Gorilla Glass 4, and an anti-reflective coating. Under the hood is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with a whopping 6GB RAM and 64GB of non-expandable UFS 2.0 storage. It runs OxygenOS, which is based on Android 6.1 Marshmallow.

In the camera department, the OnePlus 3 sports a 16-MP Sony IMX298 primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto-focus, 1.12 micron pixels, 4K video capture support, optical image stabilization (OIS), electronic image stabilization, and an LED flash. In front, an 8-MP Sony IMX179 camera with an f/2.0 aperture and electronic image stabilization can be found. In terms of connectivity, the OnePlus 3 covers all the basics: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS...plus NFC, LTE-A, a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, and dual-SIM support. A 3,000 mAh battery, with Dash charging support, will keep its lights on. Dash charge will provide 63% of battery after just a 30-minute charging session.

The OnePlus 3 is set to retail for just $400, which is almost 50% cheaper than its counterparts from Apple, Samsung, HTC, Sony, and LG.
