Samsung Galaxy J2 & J Max Land in India

Samsung has announced two new entry-level devices in India: the Galaxy J2 and the tablet-like Galaxy J Max. The former packs a 5-inch display of 720p HD resolution. It comes with a quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, and 8GB of expandable internal storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with TouchWiz on top. There's an 8-MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing shooter. A modest 2,600 mAh battery will keep its lights on. Among its unique features is Smart Glow, which allows you to color code you contacts, apps and alerts, and Turbo Speed Technology (TST), which makes apps load faster. To be available in gold, black, and white color options, the Galaxy J2 will retail for about $145.

Meanwhile, a ginormous phablet has also been launched by Samsung with the moniker of Galaxy J Max. It comes with a tablet-like screen size of 7 inches of WXGA resolution. It will come with a quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of expandable internal storage. Unlike the Galaxy J2, the Galaxy J Max will run the dated Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz on top. When it comes to photography, the phablet has an 8-MP primary camera with LED flash and a 2-MP front-facing shooter. Among its connectivity features are LTE (with VoLTE) and dual-SIM support. A Bluetooth headset will also be part of the package to make answering calls easier. A large 4,000 mAh battery will keep its lights on. To be available in black and gold color options, the Galaxy J Max will retail for about $200.
