Vertu Launches High-End, Dual-SIM Constellation

Vertu just unveiled its first luxury smartphone for 2017. Meet the Constellation - hand-crafted in England, made out of anodized aluminum, finished leather (in a variety of colors), and topped with a 140-carat 6th generation sapphire crystal for its display. On top of these, are high-ends specs, which are not common among Vertu smartphones. The Vertu Constellation packs a 5.5-inch AMOLED display of Quad HD resolution. Ticking inside is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage. Imaging-wise, the Constellation sports a 12-MP rear camera with 1.55 micron pixels and dual-LED flash. The camera is also capable of recording 4K videos. The Constellation also comes with USB Type-C port, a 3,220 mAh battery with wireless charging support, and a dual-SIM functionality, which is a first for Vertu.

Given all these cutting edge specifications, the only downside to the smartphone is that it runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, which could be updated by Vertu in the future. But like other Vertu handsets, the Constellation comes with the company's exclusive 24/7 concierge service and access to iPass, the world's largest Wi-Fi network. Access to the former is made by pressing the left-side button, made of an actual ruby. Pricing has not been announced but it is expected to hover at $10,000. Interested?
