Xiaomi Mi 6 Packs Snapdragon 835 & 6GB RAM
The Xiaomi Mi 6 goes official. It sports a curved glass front and back with a stainless steel frame, which happens to be splash resistant. It packs a 5.15-inch IPS display of 1080p Full HD display. Like the Galaxy S8, the Mi 6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with a whopping 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Mi 6 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the latest MIUI 8 on top. A fast charging, meaty 3,350 mAh battery will keep its lights on.

In terms of photography, the Xiaomi Mi 6 packs dual cameras at the back. There is a wide-angle 12-MP sensor and another 12-MP telephoto lens. The latter also features 2x lossless zoom. The main camera also features phase detection auto-focus, 4-axis optical image stabilization and dual-tone, dual-LED flash. There's also an 8-MP front-facing camera on board. Connectivity-wise, Wi-Fi, LTE, NFC, GPS, dual-SIM support, and USB Type-C are all on board. A fingerprint scanner is also embedded under the home button. Sadly, it forgoes the 3.5 mm jack but still comes with stereo speakers.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 will come in black, white, and blue color variants. There are also two special editions of the the Mi 6, one in silver, and another one with a ceramic back and 18K gold rims around the dual back cameras. Pricing starts at $363 and could go as high as $436 for the ceramic variant. It will go on sale April 28, 2017 across stores in China. Global launch will be announced at a later date.
