La Union and Baguio Excursion

Day 1 (Trip to La Union)

My mom woke me up so early. I was still sleepy but I had no choice because Iz had texted me that she was on her way to my house. I had a party last night and I barely had the strength to help myself up. But as I have said, I had no choice. I rushed into the dining room to eat breakfast then went straight to the bathroom to fix myself up. I was dressing up when Iz arrived. Our first stop was at Shell C5. We picked up Azelle there. We next went to Edsa Shangri-La to fetch Peepo. On our way to Shangri-La, we bumped into an orange cone-shaped road sign (whatever they call it). Anyway, we picked up Peepo and made our way to North Luzon Expressway. It was a long journey, approximately 6 hours. Of course, we had stopovers- gasoline stations, gasoline stations, and gasoline stations. And the toll fee was too expensive. Whatever!

During the ride, we sang, cracked jokes, and of course, our favorite, ate junkfoods. At last, we had reached the city part of La Union at about lunch time, where we bought our lunch and packed dinner (KFC). We also paid a visit to Iz's tito who happens to own the resort in which we were going to stay at. At last, we had reached Puerto de San Juan. It was a rather cool place. It has swimming pools, beach, bar and grill, and nice landscapes. When checked in into a cottage (this is not what you're thinking). It has 2 airconditioners, 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 dining room, and 1 toilet and bathroom. It was pretty much okay for us. We rested for a while. But because of too much excitement, we rushed into the beach after an hour or so. We were not prepared to swim as we went there to take some pictures and watch the sunset. But because of some unexplainable reasons, we were caught in a sandfight. We threw sand at each other. We got wet and our poor clothes were so dirty to the point that we couldn't wear them anymore. There was sand all over our body- azelle's cleavage and buttcrack, iz's underwear, peepo's mouth, and lucky me, only inside my pockets. We headed straight to the shower rooms to clean ourselves up. Then we also dived into the pool. Iz and I practiced our steps for synchronized swimming wanna-be. We were so exhausted when we got back to the cottage. It was already dinner time. We ate our KFC fried chicken and some junkfoods again. That night, we played cards and drank alcoholic beverages to death. I realized that I had been drinking for the past two nights. Oh shit! Azelle did not join us because she was not feeling well. She was constipated. Plus, she had not finished doing her marketing management take home exam. Im not sure if we were wasted. Probably!

Day 2 (La Union- Puerto de San Juan)

la union baguioWe woke up not that early but not that late either. We ate breakfast- tuna, bread, and KFC chicken leftovers. We went straight to the beach to take some snapshots. We tried to get a tan. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. So sad. We swam and swam and walk and walk. We decided to go back to the cottage to fix ourselves and prepare for lunch. Aze, Iz, and Peepo still had to finish their marketing management exams. By the way, Azelle and Peepo had a petty fight too. Of course, I couldn't spill the details. Sorry! We ate lunch (I forgot where). We just watched TV for the time being since it was too sunny and if we go out, we might get skin diseases. We decided to go out again at about 5 pm. We waited for the sunset. But prior to that we decided to take a stroll and ended up catching small crabs. We collected some 30 crablets and placed them inside an empty gummy worm container. We dug a hole and placed the container inside and buried the crablets. After watching the sunset. We decided to have a race. We were supposed to run from one side of the beach to the other then get our things and head straight to the pool. During the race, it was kinda amazing that I was the one leading, knowing the fact that Azelle had been a school varsity runner. Anyway, since I got tired easily, Peepo had overtaken me. He took the plunge first into the pool. I was next. Poor girls- losers. hehe Just kidding. We also had fun in the pool. We continued our synchronized swimming steps. And this time, our steps were really furnished. It could be compared to the ones they did in the olympics. Nah, I was just exaggerating. Also, during that time, Azelle and Peepo had their moment together. Yikee. I just couldn't tell the details now for some confidential reasons. We went back to the cottage and decided to eat dinner at the resort's bar and grill. The food was freaking expensive. But it was alright. After that, we took a bath and decided to play cards again. We drank till we got drunk?! As usual Iz and I were wasted. Something's fishy! It seemed that Peepo and Azelle were scheming on us. They tried to make us drunk for them to pursue their hidden agenda. Hmm... To my and Iz's surprise, we both woke up sleeping on the same bed. Rumors have it that Azelle and Peepo slept on one bed. haha. It was my third consecutive day drinking alcoholic beverages.

la union baguio Day 3 (Our goodbyes to La Union and Saying Hi to Baguio)

la union baguio
It was a sunny day. We went straight into the beach to find out what happened to our dear crabs. Guess what we saw?! Yeah, you guessed it correctly. All except one died. What a tragic ending! And take note: it was the crabs fault. hehe. Tito jun (the one who drives for us) fetched us to get our stuffs. We were so anxious and, at the same time, sad to leave the place. We stayed at the place for just two nights but I wish that those two nights could have been forever. We visited Iz's tito again to say thank you. And we were on our way to Baguio. It was a two-hour ride. We reached Baguio at about 2 pm. The climate... it was so cold... What was the best thing about it, we got two hotel rooms for free. How did we do it? Secret! This time, Peepo became very uneasy. It was very obvious. No wonder some folks got a feeling of what he was planning to do. We went to SM Baguio. The place was cozy. It was like a mall on a hill. The aircon- it was centralized. Azelle, Iz, Peepo went to an internet cafe to email their exams. We ate at Carlo's Pizza. The food was yummy. I also shopped a little. That day we also went to Ukay Ukay. Lots and lots of clothes. We went there by foot. It was exhausting but since the climate was cool, we didn't mind our exhaustion. Only Azelle and Isobel managed to buy some stuffs in UK. For me, the place was a total disaster. heheh no kidding! bwahaha. That night, we went back to the mall to eat dinner at Kusina ni Gracia. Their foods were savory and delectable. Then we head straight to the hotel to play cards. Peepo was still anxious probably because he was still thinking of his plan- will it work? will it be successful? what if it fails? We played cards but this time I am not sure if we still drank... Both Peepo and I slept in the girls bedroom because there might be a ghost in our bedroom upstairs. Iz and I were on one bed and Peepo and Aze were on another bed. tsk tsk. What could have happened while Iz and I were sleeping? That I don't know.

Day 4 (Visiting Historic Landmarks in Baguio)

This was the second to the last day of our trip. We couldn't help but feel sad because for that short time, we already fell in love with the place. We woke up early and waited for our friend Pat in the hotel. We first went to Camp John Hay and took some pictures. It was where I gave Azelle and Isobel a flower each. We ate at Choco-late de Batirol. After eating, we decided to go to Baguio Country Club. The place was really cool. I've heard that a night there costs more than P20,000.00. Really expensive! Take note, they have a dresscode. We went to Diplomat Hotel. The hotel was spooky. The guard there said that a nun and a nurse haunt that place. We took some pictures inside that abandoned and ruined hotel. It was creepy but we didn't get a chance to see a ghost. We also went to Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary. I enjoyed the place especially the bridge and our drop dead gorgeous poses. We ate lunch at Volante???... we saw Ms. Lenny look-a-like and Iz's cousin. By the way, we ate dinner at 50's diner. This is the place to be. All the foods here are upsized. Super value meals in simpler terms. Like you get a jumbo chicken sandwich for about 60 bucks. We also bought a DVD of Pulse to have something to watch that night. The night had come and Azelle had still no idea of what's gonna happen to her. We watched Pulse but we fell asleep. Peepo left the room. We fixed ourselves then Peepo texted me to send Azelle upstairs. Iz and I accompanied Azelle to the boys room, and to her surprise, she saw trails of petals directed towards the balcony. The petals were everywhere- on the floor, on the bed, on the dresser, on the chair, and scattered along the balcony. On the balcony, was a trail of candles making the night more romantic. Rumors had it that Peepo indeed gave her a necklace (heart-shaped locket). Then we left Azelle. She tried to look for Peepo inside the room but it seemed to her that no one was there. She searched for him in every cabinet and washroom but Peepo wasn't there. She ran outside the room and followed us inside the elevator. We told her to go back and it was there where everything started. For the details, ask them okay! not me! Iz and I went back to our room. We were so anxious of what was going to happen. We did not know what to do. We felt uneasy. Almost an hour had passed, and they came back. Everything else was history. They are now officially sweethearts. Awww! Suddenly, I felt a gush in my chest. It was a feeling not new to me. I had always felt that way whenever I am depressed. I could feel the sadness within. I cried. I couldn't help it. It was like somebody's taking away an important person in my life. But of course, I am happy for the both of them. Indeed, it is true that one can only realize the importance of somebody when he/she is taken away from you. Rest assured, Peepo will take good care of Azelle. Since I was not feeling well that night, I slept right away. Im sure that they did not know that I continued crying on my bed. They wouldn't know because they were excited to eat the pizza that they had ordered. hehe!

Day 5 (Last Day in Baguio and On our Way Home)

They woke up early. I woke up late, as always. We fixed our luggages and stuffs already and fixed ourselves too. We already checked out at the hotel. Our first destination was the Mansion- the old white presidential house of Gloria in Baguio. We didn't get to enter the mansion because it is a private property. But we mangaed to take a picture inside the walls of the mansion. Probably, the guards did not notice that I am a Gloria- devotee/loyalist/supporter or the guards did notice that Peepo is anti-Gloria and that he did join rallies against her. We went next to Wright park where we saw these stonehenge look-a-like structures. We picked up Pat near their convenience store in Baguio city. He said that it was because of those stores why he is in school. The last restaurant that we stepped in on Baguio city was at 50's diner again. The food was so delicious. That's all I could say. Our final destination was at Minesview Park. This was where we bought "pasalubongs". We also bought friendship rings and necklaces and a whole lot of goodies. By the way, we also went to the market to buy fresh strawberries. It was time to say goodbye to Pat. Even if we had a limited time with Pat, we could say that we enjoyed his company and I could say that I have found a friend in him. Saying goodbye to Baguio was the hardest part of our journey. On our way back to Manila, we sad several stopovers for photo opportunities and washroom breaks. Inside the van, we played cards. 1,2,3 pass, bullshit, and many others. It was getting dark. The sun was about to set. I realized that this was one of the happiest moments of my life. This was the time that I felt most free. I surely enjoyed the company of my new set of friends. It was fun... wait scrap that.. It was one of the most memorable and most enjoyable moments of my life. What could I ask for? A friend was what I needed the most and they came into several beings- Azelle, Peepo, Isobel, and Patrick. We dropped Azelle at their townhouse in Katipunan. We dropped Peepo at his mom's office in Katipunan. I was brought home by Tito Jun. Then that's pretty much the end of it. It was a great experience. I realized that there's more to life than partying, shopping, insulting people, etc. I enjoyed this trip more than any other trips that I had been with.
