Microsoft Unveils a Redesigned Xbox 360 and Xbox One

Microsoft has finally given the price and initial availability of the recently announced Xbox One. The gaming console with be available on November 21 in the United States, United Kingdom, and markets in Continental Europe. The Xbox One will be priced at $499.99 in the US, £429 and €499 in the UK and the rest of Europe respectively. For the price tag, you get an Xbox One console with 500GB hard drive, a new Kinect, one wireless controller, and a free two-week trial of Xbox Live Gold.

For those who reserved their Xbox One well before its launch date, Microsoft will be offering a limited edition commemorative bundle for the same price. The commemorative bundle will feature a limited edition Day One controller, as well as a special gameplay achievement. Bonus content for some of the launch day game titles will also be available.

At E3, Microsoft has announced a new version of the Xbox 360. Modeled after the new Xbox One, the redesigned Xbox 360 has the similar two-tone, part matte part glossy design but retains some of the design features of the previous generation models, including a primarily vertical stance, a slide-out tray and a large silver power button. The controller design is identical, as is the Kinect accessory.

The new Xbox 360 will go on sale shortly and will be priced at $199 for the 4GB model, $299 for the 250GB model and $299 for the 4GB Kinect bundle. Microsoft has also announced that Xbox Live Gold members will receive two free games every month from July 1 to December 31, 2013. This month, Fable III is up for grabs free of charge.
