Restaurant Review: Jatujak

Jatujak is a restaurant in SM Mall of Asia that offers Thai cuisine at an affordable price. It serves all kinds of Thai dishes you can think of. As expected, most of them are spicy with lots of chili. Their Thai Iced Tea is one of their best-sellers. It's basically an iced tea with milk - most likely it's condensed.

You can actually dine inside or outside. Of course, there is no air-conditioning for the latter. The space is cramped, waiters had a hard time having us all seated. The interior is nothing extraordinary, not to mention that the air-conditioning system has malfunctioned at that time.


Pad Thai, Bagoong Rice, Beef Curry, Seafood Soup

The food is okay. I did like the Bagoong Rice. The others were so-so. But again, these are Thai dishes at an affordable price. So don't expect anything fancy or out of the ordinary. The good thing about Jatujak is that the waiters are very accommodating and they have made our stay there quite pleasant.

Waiting time for food orders averages at 15-20 mins. There's no washroom inside so you better wash your hands first before dining in. I've yet to try their other dishes and drinks but so far, everything seems decent. It's perfect for those who'd like to try Thai food but doesn't have deep pockets.
