Meet the Nokia X+ and XL Android-Powered Smartphones

Since the beginning, the public has been clamoring for an Android-powered Nokia smartphone. Ultimately, Nokia gave in to their call. In addition to the Nokia X, meet the Nokia XL and X+. The Nokia XL features a 5-inch IPS LCD display of WVGA resolution. It has 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset and runs on a heavily skinned version of Android Jelly Bean. There is no access to the Google Play Store but Nokia has also included a bunch of its Lumia apps on the XL including its Store, Camera, Mix Radio and HERE Maps. With the Nokia XL, you will get 10GB of free OneCloud storage as well as 1 month free of Skype Premium. Nokia also included a 4GB microSD card in the package.

At the back of the phone is a 5-MP snapper with an LED flash. The user interface is simple, with two main screens: the app list screen and the Fastlane. The app list is reminiscent of the home screen of the Windows Phone 8 UI and features app tiles, which can be resized. The larger the tile, the more information it displays. At €109, it is a definitely a steal.
