How the Galaxy S5 Stacks Up Against Competition

Two powerful and capable Android flagship smartphones have been unveiled at this year's MWC: the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. Both are improved versions of their predecessors and offer a smorgasbord of near mind-blowing features. But if you were to choose between the two, which would be your bet? Based on specs alone, it's really hard to pick between the Xperia Z2 and the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 has a slightly overclocked processor than the Xperia Z2. The Galaxy S5 is also available in 32GB while the Xperia Z2 maxes out at 16GB. Good thing, both have microSD card slots. The Xperia Z2 has 3GB of RAM while the Galaxy S5 only has 2GB. In terms of screen estate, the Galaxy S5 has a slightly higher pixel density, thanks to its smaller screen. It is also thinner and lighter than the Xperia Z2. In the imaging department, the Xperia Z2 has a 20-MP camera while the Galaxy S5 has 16-MP. The Xperia Z2 also has a bigger battery than its Samsung rival. Both are water and dust resistant but the Galaxy S5 ups the ante with its fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor.
