The Waterproof Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet Goes Official
The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet just went official at this year's MWC. Like its predecessor, the Xperia Z2 tablet is water
and dust resistant, with scratch-proof glass panels. It packs a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200) display
employing Sony's latest display technologies - Triluminos display with
Live Color LED plus X-Reality mobile picture engine.

The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset, which offers four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330
graphics and 3GB RAM. The internal storage is 16GB, expandable via a
microSD card slot. The tablet's camera department might seem the same: 8.1-MP rear
and 2-MP front cameras, but the rear sensor has been upgraded with the
latest Exmor RS sensor. Both cameras are capable of 1080p video
recording and HDR. The slate will be available in two versions: Wi-Fi only and LTE-enabled. Other connectivity options include NFC, GPS with
GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, IR emitter and microUSB 2.0 with MHL 3.0
support. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat topped with the latest version of Sony's proprietary launcher.
