Say Hello to the Samsung Gear Fit Smartband

In addition to the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, Samsung also debuted another smart wearable in the form of a smartband. Meet the Samsung Gear Fit, which is aimed at fitness enthusiasts. It packs a 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 432 x 128 pixels and alerts you of incoming notifications such as SMS, calls, emails, etc. It weights just 27 grams.

It runs Tizen OS and features a heartbeat sensor on its down-facing side. Aside from its heart rate monitor, it is also a pedometer that can count your steps. There are several interchangeable straps made available for the Gear Fit. For connectivity, it relies on Bluetooth 4.0 LE. There is no word yet on the official pricing and global availability.
