The Sony Xperia M2 Midrange Smartphone

Along with the Xperia Z2 and the Xperia Z2 Tablet, Sony has also unveiled the Xperia M2 midrange smartphone at this year's MWC. Compared to its predecessor, the Xperia M2 has a larger 4.8-inch qHD display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8-MP camera, 2,300mAh battery, and LTE support. It is 8.6mm slim and is touted by Sony as the "thinnest 4G phone in its class. However, the Xperia M2 will have to battle it out against the Moto G, LG Optimus F5, Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, and the Samsung Galaxy Express 2.

The Xperia M2 sports the same OmniBalance design as Sony's new flagship - the Xperia Z2. There is no word yet on its official pricing but it expected to launch globally in April 2014. It will be available in black, white, and purple color options.
