CyanogenMod 11S-Running OnePlus One Goes Official

Tech company OnePlus finally unveiled its 'One' Android smartphone. OnePlus One runs on CyanogenMod 11S, which based on Android KitKat. It has flagship specs and features but is being sold at a fraction of the usual flagship price.

OnePlus One measures 152.9 mm x 75.9 mm x 8.9 mm and weighs 162 grams, which makes it one of the lightest phablet-sized smartphones. Instead of being made with aluminum or steel, it is clad in a magnesium body.

Specs-wise, it is a monster. OnePlus One features Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 CPU, 3GB RAM, and 5.5-inch Full HD display made by JDI, which results in pixel density of 401 ppi. It also features dual stereo speakers, which are backed by JBL. When it comes to imaging, it has a 13-MP Sony sensor with f/2.0 aperture and capable of 4K video recording. A 3,100 mAh Li-Po battery comes standard but non-removable.

OnePlus One also comes with StyleSwap covers, which resemble those of Moto X. These covers are available in bamboo, wood, denim, and kevlar. It will launch in Q2 of 2014 and is available in black and white color options. The unlocked 16GB OnePlus One will retail for $299 while the 64GB model will cost $350, which is very affordable for a flagship device.
