HTC One E8: The Cheaper, Plastic HTC One M8
HTC has unveiled its latest high-end smartphone - the HTC One E8. It is basically a lower priced version of the HTC One M8. Their obvious difference is basically the material used. The One E8 is covered in polycarbonate (plastic) while the One M8 is clad in aluminum. Another difference would be the camera used. The One E8 packs a 13-MP rear camera while the One M8 sports a 4-UltraPixel Duo Camera. Lastly, the One E8 comes in a dual-SIM variant.

The HTC One E8 has virtually the same
dimensions as its metal-clad brother, but its weight has been reduced by
roughly 15 grams (145g). It has the
same 5-inch 1080p display and runs on the same Snapdragon 801 quad-core
CPU with 2GB RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage, along with a
microSD card slot. It has a decent battery capacity of 2,600mAh. Unfortunately, the battery is non-user-replaceable again.

The HTC
One E8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 on top, and includes proprietary features such as BoomSound front stereo speakers and Sense
Voice. It will be available in four colors: Polar White
(glossy finish), Electric Crimson (red, glossy finish), Maldives Blue
(matte finish), and Misty Gray (dark gray, matte finish). It will be selling only in China for the moment and costs around US$447.
