Another Samsung Galaxy S5 variant has hit the market. It is the Galaxy S5 Plus. The main difference it has from the original Galaxy S5 flagship is its bumped up CPU. It is equipped with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset that can be seen ticking inside the recently launched Galaxy Note 4 phablet. Aside the from the CPU, it now has support for LTE Cat. 6 or LTE-A.

Other than these two differences, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is essentially the same as the original Galaxy S5. It packs a 5.1-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED screen. It comes with a 16-MP ISOCELL camera and is able to capture 4K videos. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card. It also has the same set of sensors that the Galaxy S5 has, such as the fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor, barometer, etc. As an icing on the cake, it has IP67 certification, which makes it water and dust resistant too. Currently, the Galaxy S5 Plus is only available in the Netherlands. There's no news yet on its international availability.
