Toshiba Encore mini: 7-inch Windows 8.1 Tablet
Toshiba took the wraps off its newest Windows 8.1 tablet called the Encore mini. Priced at just $120, it is one of the most affordable tablets available regardless of the operating system. The Toshiba Encore mini packs a 7-inch display of 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution with a 16:9
aspect ratio and 5-finger capacitive touch sensor. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor, has 1GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.

There is a microUSB port on the tablet and a microUSB to full-size USB
cable included in the box for attaching USB accessories and storage.
There is no HDMI port however or a docking connector to connect it to the TV. There is an optional Bluetooth keyboard accessory, which costs $42. In terms of connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity and
Bluetooth 4.0 are on board. Imaging-wise, there is a VGA front-facing camera with microphone for
video calls and a mono speaker. At the back is a 2-MP primary shooter. The
tablet weighs 354g and comes in Winter White. Toshiba promises
just over 7 hours of battery life..
