Acer Announces 64-Bit Liquid Z410 Smartphone

Acer has unveiled a new smartphone hours before CES 2015 officially starts. It's the affordable Liquid Z410 smartphone. It packs a compact 4.5-inch display with qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (245 ppi). Despite being an entry level device, it comes with a 64-bit chipset - a quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor with an ARM Mali-T760 GPU. Imaging-wise, it is equipped with a 5-MP primary camera with LED flash and a front-facing 2-MP snapper with 80-degree wide angle lens.

Surprisingly, it supports Category 4 LTE as well. Other features include front-facing speakers with DTS Studio Sound and software goodies like AcerRapid key (gives you programmable shortcuts to actions) and Acer QuickTouch (gesture shortcuts). The smartphone runs Android KitKat with Acer's proprietary UI on top. Acer claims that the Liquid Z410 will have 400 hours of standby time. However, the smartphone will only be sold in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa initially and will be available at the end of February 2015. It is very affordable costing just $155.
