LG has unveiled a luxury smartwatch, which it calls Watch Urbane. Expected to compete with the upcoming Apple Watch, the LG Watch Urbane matches the Apple smartwatch in many aspects. Arguably, the Watch Urbane is also the better looking wearable between the two as it is round and comes with a narrower bezel and a thinner profile.

With specs very similar to the LG G Watch R, the Watch Urbane comes in an all-metal body with either a gold or silver finish. It also has a 1.3-inch P-OLED always-on display of 320 x 320 resolution resulting in a pixel density of 245 ppi. It comes with a stitched leather band, which can be replaced by any 22 mm wide watch strap. A heart rate sensor is also built inside the luxury LG smartwatch. It measures 45.5 mm x 52.2 mm x 10.9 mm. Interestingly, the Watch Urbane does not run Android Wear but a proprietary OS by LG.

Powering the LG Watch Urbane is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1GB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. It also has an IP67 certification for dust and water
resistance. It has a battery capacity of 410 mAh but there's no word yet on its battery life. With its premium materials and elegant look, it is expected that the LG Watch Urbane will also have a premium selling price.
