HTC One E9+ Comes w/ Quad HD Display

The HTC One E9+ goes official. It is successor to the One E8, which is basically a plastic-clad version of the One M8 smartphone. Interestingly, the One E9+ is not an exact replica of the One M9 that is just wrapped in glossy plastic. The former is actually better spec'd than the latter in some aspects. For instance, the HTC One E9+ comes with a 5.5-inch LCD of Quad HD resolution while the One M9's display maxes out at 1080p Full HD. Aside from the display and materials used, the One E9+ is powered by a MediaTek MT6795M chipset with a PowerVR G6200 GPU while th One M9 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset that is said to overheat with heavy use.

The rest of the specs of the HTC One E9+ is similar to that of the One M9, which includes 3GB RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, a 20-MP primary camera, a 4-MP UltraPixel front camera, and a 2,800 mAh battery. Also expected to launch with the One E9+ is the One E9, which has a lower but still great 1080p Full HD display, 2GB RAM, and a 16-MP primary camera.
