NOW OPEN: K-TIME Early Intervention Center

KTEIC (short for K-TIME Early Intervention Center) formally opened its doors last April 6, 2015 and I was privileged enough to have been invited to the event. It is a private, Philippine-based organization established in February 2015, offering a variety of therapeutic and support services for children with special needs (Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, PDD - Pervasive Development Disorder, ADHD - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorder, Mental Retardation and other related conditions) and their families.

KTEIC was founded by my good friend Garry Louie Sabado, helped by a few stakeholders. He studied BS Nursing at Saint Louis University in Baguio City and later took a course on Applied Behavioral Analysis. According to Mr. Sabado, KTEIC prides itself in employing highly trained and dedicated professionals to help your children reach their full potential. At KTEIC, they believe that early intervention plays a pivotal role in the child’s development. Below are some of the services they offer to children with special needs.

Here are some photos I took during the grand opening. Please note that I took some of them under unforgiving lighting conditions. As you can see below, the food was catered and there were several guests, which included the owner's relatives, clientele, friends, and other stakeholders.

Inside the center, there are several rooms, which each room serving a different purpose. There are rooms for playing and there are also rooms for reading and learning. All rooms are well-lit, air-conditioned, and complete with all the materials any child with special needs may need.

There you have it. As with any organization, K-TIME's success can only be measured by the number of children whose life will be changed forever. With its dedicated team of trained professionals, an environment conducive to learning, and a mission to help these children reach their full potential, K-TIME is already on its way to success. Again, I'd like to congratulate Mr. Sabado and everyone behind K-TIME Early Intervention Center for a successful launch and I wish you all the best.
