Doogee X5 Android Smartphone Costs $49.99

The average price of Android smartphones has steadily gone down as manufacturers produce handsets at rock bottom prices. A relatively unknown manufacturer in China called Doogee recently unveiled a smartphone that costs only $49.99. For its price, the Doogee X5 comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display, which is a rarity in this price range. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 SoC, which utilizes the PowerVR G6200 GPU. Imaging-wise, it has a 5-MP primary camera with LED flash and a front-facing snapper. A 2,200 mAh battery will keep its lights on.

Other details on the said smartphone are scarce but with its sub-$50 pricing, it is already among the cheapest Android smartphones with an HD display. The Doogee X5 will come in black and white color variants. Interested?
