LG G4 Beat (G4s) Comes w/ Spectrum Color Sensor

LG has announced a brand new midrange Android smartphone, which takes some design cues from the G4 flagship - meet the LG G4 Beat (or G4s in Europe and the CIS region). Resembling the LG flagship, the G4 Beat aims to deliver a premium design with superior features in a mid-tier package and price range.

The LG G4 Beat packs a 5.2-inch IPS LCD of 1080p Full HD resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. Imaging-wise, it comes with an 8-MP rear camera with dual-tone dual-LED flash, laser auto-focus, and color spectrum sensor. In Latin American countries, the rear camera resolution will be bumped up to 13-MP. Meanwhile, its front-facing camera will have a 5-MP sensor that features Gesture Interval Shot. Connectivity features include LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.1, among others.

The G4 Beat measures 142.7 mm x 72.6 mm x 9.85 mm, which makes it smaller than the G4 flagship. A 2,300 removable battery is on-board and the device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the LG UX 4.0 on top. The LG G4 Beat will start selling in three color variants (white, black and gold) this July 2015 in France, Germany and Brazil and will soon be launched in Canada, Russia, Turkey, South Africa, India, Singapore, and other countries. There's no word yet on its official pricing.
