It is a sequel to the 2012 film Magic Mike. The film has received generally positive reviews from critics. To date, it has grossed over $75 million worldwide from a budget of just $15 million.

The story goes like this: Three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, he and the remaining Kings of Tampa hit the road to Myrtle Beach to put on one last blow-out performance.

Magic Mike XXL is of comedy, drama, musical genre, which runs for approximately 115 minutes. It's rated R in most countries for strong sexual content, pervasive language, some nudity and drug use. It was a very boring and dragging movie with its last 20 minutes as its saving grace. It was not as good and as entertaining as the first movie. For me, Kevin Nash and Andie MacDowell were a miscast. Kevin looked awkward while Andie seemed too wholesome for her role. The role of Jada Pinkett Smith was irritating and even Channing's performance was lackluster. It was only Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer who delivered well in their role. Overall, the movie lacked depth and was not a deserving sequel at all.

RATING: 3 out of 5 STARS
