Oppo has launched a more affordable alternative to the R1x, which it calls the Mirror 5. The Oppo Mirror 5 is made of metal and glass, which features a sparkling diamond-like mirrored surface on its back. It has a 5-inch screen of qHD resolution and runs on a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.

The Mirror 5 has an 8-MP rear camera with an LED flash, an f/2.2 aperture and a 1.4µm pixel size. It can also capture videos in 1080p Full HD and is equipped with Pure Image 2.0+ engine. In front of the smartphone is a 5-MP shooter with Beautify 3.0 technology. The smartphone can also do time-lapses, audio photos, HDR, panorama, double exposures, and Super GIFs with both cameras. Connectivity-wise, it has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IR blaster, LTE, and dual-SIM connectivity.

The Oppo Mirror 5 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box skinned with Color OS 2.1. A 2,420 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery keeps the smartphone going. There's no official word yet on its pricing and availability.
