Ubik Uno: No Bezel, Powerful & Affordable

Ubik Mobile, a Miami-based startup, launched Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming Ubik Uno Android handset. Among the phablet's standout features are its bezel-less display, stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and an affordable price tag - starting at $280 (regular retail price is $345).


The Ubik Uno is clad in a unibody aluminum frame and comes with a bezel-less display. It packs a 5.5-inch IPS LCD of 1080p Full HD resolution, which is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood is a powerful 64-bit true octa-core MediaTek MT6795 chipset with 3GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.

The primary camera of the Ubik Uno is a 20-MP Sony-made sensor with f/2.2 aperture, auto-focus, and LED flash. It is also capable of recording 4K footages at 30 fps and 720p HD slo-mo videos at 120 fps. The front-facing snapper is an 8-MP unit, which is more than enough for selfies and video calls. The Ubik Uno's connectivity suite includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and LTE. It runs stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop straight out of the box.

Ubik Uno’s Kickstarter campaign will end in September 2015. The first 250 backers will be able to get the handset for just $280 (plus shipping fee). Everyone else can get the phablet in Q4 of 2015 directly from Ubik for $345. Interested?
