ASUS Live Ditches ZenFone Moniker in Brazil

ASUS has launched a colorful, plastic smartphone called Live in Brazil. Interestingly, it doesn't carry the ZenFone moniker like all other ASUS Android smartphones. The ASUS Live comes with a 5-inch IPS display of 720p HD resolution and is powered by a low-end, quad-core MediaTek MT6580 chipset with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. When it comes to camera, it has an 8-MP rear sensor with LED flash and a 2-MP front-facing shooter.

Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and dual-SIM support. Unfortunately, it has no LTE connectivity. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the ZenUI on top and comes with a measly 2,070 mAh battery. ASUS is also bundling 100GB of free Google Drive cloud storage with the Live for 2 years. It will retail for $210, which is quite steep, but that is because prices of smartphones in Brazil are much higher.
