BLU Vivo 5 & Vivo XL Unveiled
BLU has unveiled two new Android phablets at this year's CES: the Vivo 5 and the Vivo XL. Both are similarly specc'd and quite affordable. The BLU Vivo 5 is the higher end of the two. It comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display of 720p HD resolution, covered by Gorilla Glass 3. Ticking inside is a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. It has a full metal body with chamfered edges and will come in two colors: White Silver and Solid Gold. It also has LTE and dual-SIM support.
Meanwhile, the BLU Vivo XL also comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with the same resolution. It even has the same processor as the Vivo 5 but comes with only 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. It will come in 4 different colors: Liquid Gold, Chrome Silver, Midnight Blue, and Rose Gold. Both handsets, however, come with a 13-MP primary camera with phase detection auto-focus, a f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash. Both also have a 5-MP wide-angle front-facing snapper. A 3,150 mAh battery will keep the lights on for the two BLU handsets. Both
handsets will be available in the US via Amazon.com and
Bestbuy.com. The Vivo XL is priced at $149 while the Vivo 5 will set you back $199.
