LeEco Launches Le 2 & Le Max 2 Smartphones

LeEco (formerly LeTV) has launched two new smartphones in India: the Le 2 and Le Max 2. LeEco Le 2 will replace the Le 1s. It comes with a full metal body with a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has a 16-MP primary camera with dual-tone, dual-LED flash, and an 8-MP front camera. The Le 2 uses USB Type-C for fast charging and audio-out. It has a modest 3,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner mounted at the back. The Le 2 is affordably priced at just $179 and CDLA Type-C earphones are optional to purchase at $29.

Meanwhile, the Le Max 2 has a tad larger display at 5.7 inches and has a Quad HD resolution. Also made of metal, ticking inside it is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage or a whopping 6GB RAM with 64GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage. Imaging-wise, a 21-MP shooter can be found at the back with dual-tone, dual-LED flash plus an 8-MP selfie. The LeEco Le Max 2 is touted as the world's first device to feature the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm called the Snapdragon Sense ID. Like the Le 2, the Le Max 2 comes with a USB Type-C port with CDLA for audio-out. A larger 3,100 mAh battery that supports fast charging will keep its lights on. The base variant of the Le Max 2 will cost $345 while the top-of-the-line variant will retail for $449.
