Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Launched by AT&T

At long last, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active goes official and it will be exclusive to AT&T. It has all the bells and whistles found on the regular Galaxy S7 plus some added protection. The Galaxy S7 Active comes with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display of Quad HD resolution. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest TouchWiz UI on top. Imaging-wise, it has a 12-MP rear camera with OIS, an f/1.7 aperture, and LED flash. It also has a 5-MP snapper in front. The Galaxy S7 Active also has a smorgasbord of sensors and connectivity features: fingerprint scanner (a first for the Active series), barometer, heart rate monitor, NFC, LTE-A, and a whole lot more.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is also IP68-certified, meaning it is dust proof and water proof when dunked in 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. It also has a shatter-resistant screen, which will help the smartphone survive drops on a flat surface from up to 5 feet - thanks to an added layer of polycarbonate. Lastly, its battery capacity has been significantly upgraded to 4,000 mAh. The Galaxy S7 Active will be available in three color variants: Sandy Gold, Camo Green, and Titanium Gray, starting June 10, 2016.
