Sony Unveils Xperia E5 Midranger

Sony officially unveils the Xperia E5 midrange smartphone. It rocks a 5-inch display of 720p HD resolution and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. Its software is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest Xperia UI on top.

Photography-wise, the Sony Xperia E5 sports a 13-MP main camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing snapper also with its own LED flash. In terms of connectivity, all the basics are covered and also includes LTE, NFC, and dual-SIM support. A 2,700 mAh battery will keep its lights on and Sony promises a 2-day battery life. Hitting the shelves in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa, the Xperia E5 will cost about $223.
