Honor Note 8 w/ 6.6-Inch AMOLED Display

In China, Huawei's sub-brand Honor has unveiled the Note 8. It is a large phablet with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display of Quad HD resolution. That translates to a pixel density of about 443 pixels per inch. Ticking inside it is Huawei's home-brewed octa-core Kirin 955 processor with a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. In terms of photography, the Honor Note 8 packs a 13-MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and dual-tone, dual-LED flash. There's also an 8-MP selfie camera in front.

When it comes to connectivity, the Note 8 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, LTE, and hybrid dual-SIM support. USB Type-C and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner are also part of the package. Sadly, NFC is not supported. A 4,500 mAh battery will keep its lights on. The Honor Note 8 will become available on August 9, 2016 and will cost $345 for the base model. It goes up to $420 for the 128GB model. There's no information yet on its global availability.
