HTC One A9s: Cheaper But Downgraded

HTC took the wraps off what seems a successor to the One A9 smartphone. Called the HTC One A9s, one would expect it to be at least more powerful than its predecessor. However, HTC took a different route and made the One A9s a more affordable version of the metal-clad One A9. The HTC One A9s packs a 5-inch LCD of 720p HD resolution, protected by a Gorilla Glass. Ticking inside is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable internal storage. It has a 13-MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing shooter.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and LTE support. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. A rather modest 2,300 mAh battery will keep its lights on. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest Sense UI on top. HTC plans to sell it for about $350, which is still quite pricey for the specs it offers.
