HTC Unveils the Desire 10 Pro & Desire 10 Lifestyle

Two new HTC midrange smartphones have been unveiled - the Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle. Both smartphones do away with onscreen buttons and navigation can be done through the bottom bezel. Between the two, the Desire 10 Pro is more capable as it comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display of 1080p Full HD resolution, covered by a layer of Gorilla Glass. Ticking inside is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with HTC Sense on top.

When it comes to photography, the HTC Desire 10 Pro sports a 20-MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, laser auto-focus and dual-LED flash. In front, a 13-MP selfie camera can be found. Connectivity-wise, the phablet supports Cat. 6 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microUSB 2.0 port. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. A 3,000 mAh battery will keep its lights on.

Then we have the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, which looks very much like the Desire 10 Pro. It has a 5.5-inch display of just 720p HD resolution. It also has a dated chipset - Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable internal storage. It has a 13-MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity-wise, it's basically the same of those of the Desire 10 Pro but LTE is only Cat. 4. The Desire 10 Lifestyle also does not have a fingerprint scanner. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense on top, the lower midrange phablet is powered by a rather small 2,700 mAh battery. Both HTC smartphones will come in several color options: Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue, and Valentina Flux. Both are also expected to roll out next month.
