Elephone P7000: Flagship Specs for $199

The Elephone P7000 probably offers the best bang for buck for any smartphone on the planet. At just $199 off-contract, it comes with flagship specifications. First off, the Elephone P7000, also known as Pioneer, is actually a phablet. It packs a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. This results in a pixel density of 401 ppi. It is also powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MTK6752 SoC, which employs eight 2GHz ARM Cortex-53 cores that is designed to bring Snapdragon 810-like performance. There is also a generous 3GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.


In the photography department, the Elephone P7000 comes with a Sony-made 16-MP main camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front camera. There is also a hearty 3,200 mAh battery unit tucked inside its 8.9 mm thin body, which has metal frame and bezels. But what separates it from most Chinese OEMs is the fingerprint scanner that can be found on its back. For its sub-$200 price point, you are actually getting a lot of high end features.
