Samsung Galaxy Note5: Flagship w/ S-Pen
After countless leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Note5 has finally arrived. And it is essentially a blown-up Galaxy S6 with the added functionality of the S-Pen. In fact, it has the same metal and glass materials used in the Galaxy S6. Also, its back is slightly curved for a more comfortable grip. It measures 153.2 mm x 76.1 mm x 7.6 mm and weighs 171 grams. The Galaxy Note5 packs a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display of Quad HD resolution. This translates to a pixel density of 518 ppi, which is still very sharp. Ticking inside it is the same chip used in the Galaxy S6, which is a 14nm 64-bit, octa-core Exynos 7420 with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of non-expandable internal storage. Both storage variants will feature high-speed UFS 2.0 storage. In the camera department, the Galaxy Note5 comes with the same 16-MP primary camera that can be found on the Galaxy S6, with a wide f/1.9 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilization), and LED flash. It can also capture 4K videos. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 5-MP unit. The Galaxy Note5 boasts a smorgasbord of connectivity features, which include Bluetooth, dual-channel Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC and LTE. It also has a touch type fingerprint scanner and a heart rate monitor. A large 3,000 mAh non-removable battery will keep the flagship phablet's lights on. It supports both rapid charging and wireless charging out of the box.
