The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has arrived and comes with competitive features at an affordable price. Launched in China, the successor to highly successful Xiaomi budget phablet, the Redmi Note 2 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD of 1080p Full HD resolution. Humming inside it is a high-end 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 chip with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable internal storage.

In the camera department, the Redmi Note 2 packs a 13-MP primary camera with phase detection auto-focus and LED flash, and a 5-MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and LTE support. A 3,060 mAh battery will keep the phablet's lights on. It runs MIUI 7 on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

The Redmi Note 2 will retail for just $125 for its entry-level variant and goes up to $155 for the Prime edition. There's no official word on international availability but the new Xiaomi phablet will likely make its way to India and the rest of Asia.
