Huawei P10, P10 Plus & Watch 2 Now Official

Huawei took the wraps off the P10 and P10 Plus at MWC 2017. The Huawei P10 is the smaller of the two, packing a 5.1-inch IPS-NEO LCD of 1080p Full HD resolution. The display is protected by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 while its back is made of metal with hyper-diamond cut and sandblasted finish. Ticking inside is an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor with a Mali-G71 MP8 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The microSD card slot also doubles a second SIM slot. It runs Android 7 Nougat out of the box with Emotion UI 5.1 on top.

When it comes to photography, the Huawei P10 packs dual Leica primary cameras, one 12-MP RGB sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization), phase-detection auto-focus, 4K video recording support, and dual-tone, dual-LED flash, and another 20-MP monochrome sensor. Both have an f/2.2 aperture. There's also an 8-MP Leica selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture. With the P10, Huawei is introducing a new Portrait Mode, which combines Variable Aperture Mode and Beautification. Connectivity and productivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, LTE, dual-SIM support, USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button, stereo speakers, and a 3.5 mm jack. A 3,200 mAh battery, with Super Charge support, will keep its lights on. To be available this March 2017 in 7 colors, the Huawei P10 will retail for €649 worldwide.

Then we have the Huawei P10 Plus, which packs a larger 5.5-inch curved edge IPS-NEO LCD of Quad HD resolution. It has the same processor as its smaller sibling but has a 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage option. It also runs Android 7 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.1 on top. It also has the same Leica camera setup of the P10; however, both primary cameras of the P10 Plus have wider apertures at f1.8. It also has laser auto-focus, dual-tone, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording support. The P10 Plus' front-facing shooter is the same as that of the P10 as well. This is where their similarities end as the Huawei P10 Plus supports 4.5G with 4 LTE antennas. It also has a much bigger 3,750 mAh battery with Super Charge support. The P10 Plus will also come in 7 colors and will become available in March 2017. The 64GB model will retail for €699 while the 128GB will sell for €799.

Connectivity-wise, it has GPS, a heart rate sensor, LTE support (for the LTE model), NFC (with Android Pay support), Bluetooth 4.1, and Wi-Fi. It is water and dust resistant (IP68 certified), and comes with extensive activity-tracking features. A 420 mAh battery will keep its lights on, which should last for about 2 days.
