Restaurant Review: New Bombay @ Bonifacio Global City

It was my first time to dine in an Indian restaurant. I'm talking about New Bombay at Bonifacio Global City. It's near the drive-thru Starbucks if you're not familiar with its location.

Located on the second floor of the Crossroad Bldg, it was an unlikely location for a restaurant. But make no mistake, once you enter the place, you will be amazed with its intricately designed interiors, bright blue lighting, and Indian-inspired furniture.

When we got there, I noticed that there were no customers yet. That made me think that the food may not be that good. But I was wrong. Perhaps, customers just come there late at night as the place was already full of people when we left.

Let's now check out the food we ordered. I was clueless about the names of the dishes on their menu. I'm only familiar with a few like Basmati Rice, Kebab, Curry...basically the common ones. But we did try out other dishes...and I can't wait to share to you how they taste.

new bombay
Chicken Tikka Masala is similar to Kaldereta
new bombay
This is lamb, which tastes like Mechado
new bombay
Unnamed Rice. Basmati perhaps?
new bombay
Tofu in green sauce
new bombay
Spicy Shrimp
new bombay
Cashew Nuts Rice
Okay, so I suck at remembering names of the dishes especially when they're not in my vocabulary. Rest assured, all of these taste good. They are somehow spicy, very colorful, and indeed flavorful. Just the perfect Indian dining experience for me.

What I like about the attendants is that they will ask you first how spicy you want the food to be served. Options are mild, spicy, and very spicy. It's always safe to choose the middle ground and that's exactly what we opted for.

I will never forget this New Bombay restaurant. The food is great. Prices are affordable too! Dishes for sharing starts at PhP200 only. A lot of drinks to choose from. What more can you ask for? You won't have to travel to India, specifically in Bombay, and look for Princess Sarah to cook these dishes for you. =)

Visit New Bombay one of these days for an authentic Indian dining experience! It is located at 2/F Crossroad Bldg, 32nd Ave Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Reserve now: (02) 425-1867.

Note: New Bombay did not pay me for this review.

Til then...

xoxo Nash
